We work with all cruise lines, and although we have special business partnerships with some we are not controlled by or tied to any. We take pride in finding the most suitable cruise for each client at value-for-money prices and with a high level of customer service. Use our Cruise Search facility, and call us to book or with any enquiries. Join our Club free and receive regular emails including Special Offers, many of them exclusive to our members. Whether you are regular cruisers or first-timers, whether you like luxury cruises or mainstream or have a lower budget, we will have the answer. |

Sailings from/to UK ports? Or fly-cruises? Here are some of the destinations and types of cruise:
Baltic Cruises - Whether sailing from the UK or from ports such as Copenhagen, the Baltic Sea is one of the most popular for our clients. See the lovely medieval cities, beautiful Tallinn, Stockholm, Helsinki, and of course the jewel of them all - fabulous St Petersburg.
Norway and the Fjords - Clients can choose from cruises out of UK ports to the Norwegian Fjords, or coastal voyages on working-ships from Bergen to Kirkenes or further north, or cruise-ferries allowing a tour or stay in Norway. Some cruises also take in the Orkneys, Shetlands, or even the Faroes and Iceland.
Mediterranean Cruises - Ever popular, these cruises can visit the Western Mediterranean or the Eastern or both and may include also the Aegean, the Adriatic, and even the Black Sea. Some cruises are ex-UK but the majority depart from such ports as Barcelona, Nice, Genoa, Venice or Athens. Certain cruises are localised, in for example the Bay of Naples, or around the Greek Islands, or from Cyprus to Israel or Egypt, or around Italy.
Canary Islands and Atlantic Cruises - Mostly out of UK ports, ships visit Tenerife, Gran Canaria and other Canary Islands, and usually take in Madeira or even the Azores, and Agadir, Lisbon and the Spanish coast. Rounds of Golf can be pre-arranged at many ports of call. The New Years Eve firework displays in Funchal are a once-in-a-lifetime must !
TransAtlantic Voyages - The best known are the classic six night Cunard cruises from Southampton to New York, combined with a city break in the Big Apple and a flight home, or even a return on the same ship. Other cruise ships may offer voyages across the Atlantic when re-positioning for the season.
Caribbean Cruises - Visit the many lovely islands of the Western and Eastern Caribbean or the coast of Mexico. Most cruises are from Florida or from Barbados. There are also short voyages to the Bahamas or Bermuda out of US ports. Some cruises can pre-arrange Golf at championship courses throughout the region.
Panama Canal - Another once-in-a-lifetime must is to cruise from the East coast of the USA to the West coast via Panama, taking in also the Caribbean and the coasts of Costa Rica, Mexico and California, eg. Miami to Los Angeles or vice-versa.
South America - British tourists are re-discovering this fascinating continent. Cruise up the Amazon to Manaus, then down the coast to Rio and take a trip to the great waterfalls of Iguassu. Then on to Montevideo and to Buenos Aires for a tango, around Cape Horn and north again to Chile, Peru and Ecuador. See Machu Picchu, or have a special natural history cruise out to the Galapagos Islands. Contact us for a combined cruise and land tour of our favourite part of the world.
Antarctica - Extend your South America cruise, to the Falklands and on to the frozen and spectacular wilderness of the Antarctic. A fabulous trip for wildlife and scenery buffs.
Alaska - Most cruises are from Seattle or Vancouver, through the Inner Passage and up to Anchorage or further. Great for whale-watching and for all marine life, the bears, and the wonderful scenery including great glaciers. These cruises are easily combined with train or coach tours or private car trips through the Rocky Mountains.
Eastern Canada and New England - Cruise the St Lawrence to Quebec, around Newfoundland and Nova Scotia and on to New England and Boston or New York for a stay or tour.
Hawaii - Why not combine your tour of California and the West with a cruise in the lovely Hawaiian Islands. The complete romantic Honeymoon destination, a resort stay and a weeks cruise around the islands can be followed by San Francisco or Las Vegas on the way home.
Australasia and the Pacific - Cruise the Pacific, or fly to Fiji or Tonga or the other island groups for local cruising, then on to New Zealand for a voyage or a land tour. Cruise the coast of Australia, perhaps with a stay for the Great Barrier Reef or Sydney, see Ayers Rock, and on to Darwin with the Gan train.
Far East - More cruise lines are now offering the Far East. Combine a cruise with a tour of China or Japan, see the great temples of Cambodia and Thailand, the orang-utans of Borneo, or take a local cruise from Singapore along the coast of Malaysia.
Africa and the Indian Ocean - Cruise to Mauritius, the Seychelles and the Comoros from the coast of East Africa. Or sail from India to Sri Lanka and on to the Red Sea visiting Petra and Luxor, perhaps returning home via the Suez Canal and the Mediterranean. Or enjoy a safari in South Africa, some rounds of golf, see the Winelands, stay on the waterfront in wonderful Cape Town, and return home by cruise liner via West Africa or Madeira.
World Cruises - Every year a number of cruise ships make round world voyages visiting many of the areas listed above. Passengers can take the whole voyage or pick segments. These cruises may start and end in the UK, although more are out of US ports. Contact us for details.
River Cruises - We have access to many hundreds of these - more in fact than appear in our Cruise Search facility. There are many in Europe or Russia including the Rhine and Moselle, the rivers and waterways of France and Italy, the Elbe and the Danube, or the Douro in Portugal. We have cruises from Moscow to St Petersburg, or down to the Black Sea. Nile cruises are ever popular and are usually in combination with tours including Cairo, Luxor, Aswan and to Abu Simbel. Contact us for any of these, or for tours of China including the Yangtse, or of the USA with a steamboat cruise on the Mississippi.
Cruise and Stay - In addition to Ocean and River Cruising, Gadabouts Travel specialises in tailor-making holidays and travel. Combining your chosen cruise with a hotel stay or with an escorted group or private tour is no problem for us. In fact in many cases such combinations are normal. Examples are given above, and include Alaska/Canada/USA, Norway, the Mediterranean, South America, the Caribbean, Africa, New Zealand and Australia, and the Far East.
